EAT! Food Festival - Tilgate - 2018

June 2018

For the first time EAT! Food Fest will be coming to Tilgate within the beautiful Walled Gardens on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th June 2018 filling it with food, food and more food...

Chef Demonstration Theatre - Two days of butchery, cooking & baking! Make sure you don't miss the action in the Demonstration Theatre running all day Saturday and Sunday.

Drinks Theatre - Learn all about wines, champagnes, gin and beer with our experts on hand to educate and titilate your palates, with brewing and producer insights and of course the all important opportunity to taste.

Street Food from Around the World - Food festivals are all about eating, right? No problem here! The only problem is having too much choice. We have the best, and we mean THE BEST, street food traders from across the UK battle to get their space at EAT! Who can resist a gooey, top shelf cheese toastie, crisp buttermilk fried chicken with chicken skin fries or Taiwanese bao buns ? We have it all and more in a perfect setting.

Artisan Food Fayre - In front of the stables in the Walled Garden over forty high end artisan food stalls will be there to tempt you to all kinds of wonderful produce. Celebrating the BEST of Sussex and the South East as well as some top far flung UK & European producers. Whether your vice is chocolate or gin, cheese, shortbread or hot sauces you won’t be disappointed.

EAT! Music - For two days there will be the coolest sounds in the chill out garden, bringing you a feast for your ears with superb artists you will definitely want to seek out and see again. Food, drink, vibes and summer sounds delivered to make a perfect summer festival day at Tilgate.

Skinny Jean Gardener - We are excited to have the Skinny Jean Gardener joining EAT! Food Fest this year. Skinny Jean Gardener has been the BBC Blue Peter gardener, and gardening guest to BBC Radio 1 and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch. Created a kitchen garden for TV presenter Jimmy Doherty, built a garden taxi for Kew Gardens Grow Wild Project, designed a show garden for the International Gardening World Cup in Japan and is ambassador of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution and the St Helena Hospice.

Alongside the Skinny Jean Gardener shows there will be a fantastic 'sow & grow area' for kids, where they get to sow their seeds and take them home to watch them grow.

Bars - Beer, Champagne, Cocktails, Open Fire Cooking and darn good vibes.
